Doyin Okupe said N200billion deposited for ASUU, Asked them to call off strike

NEWISSUES, Abuja

Doyin Okupe said that N200 billion has been deposited in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as demanded by the association before they call off the ongoing University strike that has lasted for over three month.

 

 

Okupe told Channels TV that, “N200Billion Naira has been deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria by the Federal Government as requested by ASUU, so please call off the strike now before you lose relevance as some institutions have called off and ready to lecture the students.”

 

The FG has earlier threatened that ASUU should resume on 4th December or their members face sack by the FG. A lot of Nigerians have condemned FG’s muscling approach to the strike.
