Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Mukhtar Shagari, Refuses to Follow Governor Wammako to APC

NEWISSUES, Abuja

The Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Attorney Mukhtar Shagari, has refused to join the All Progressive Congress (APC). Shagari said,

“Nobody will force me out of my party, PDP. I remain loyal to the party not individual. Gov Wamakko spend over six months planning to leave the PDP without informing me or seeking my views over such decision before this announcement. I will not succumb to any intimidation or pressures on taking action over something that I don’t believe and have no stake. I was in the PDP since 1998, I served as a Minister, aspired for Governor and honoured with National Award all as result of my loyalty, dedication, hardwork and commitment to my party and duty to my nation. For me to blindly announced and follow the crowds just for the sake of making numbers, will not be possible…”.
