Our world is full of cacaphonous distractions!
From music to television, parties, gists, games, calls, social media…you name it!
Except you make deliberate efforts to insulate yourself from this noisy world, you will exist in the plane of commoners.
No matter your vocation, there are commoners and there are pace-setters.
While the commoners allow themselves to be enmeshed in the noise of the environment, the pace-setters are careful to isolate themselves from the “busy” and “no time” booby traps, creating a regular cocoon of silence, a cogent prerequisite in the school of excellence.
Haven’t you heard that some Cerebral Personalities built huts in the forests and retreat therein whenever they are set to engage their inner being, bringing forth literal best sellers and birthing earth shaking theories?
For me, my most productive hours are those I spend on the mountains, in the city of Akure, from time to time.
You may not build a hut in the forest. You may not spend hours on the mountains like I do. Yet, you can create your solitary cocoon right in your abode!
Switch off that television set. Put out the radio and CD player. Put your phone in silence, if you would not switch it off. Appeal to those around you for quiet. Wake up in the middle of the night or at cock-crow, to engage your projectile faculty.
As you master the act of cocoonic cerebration, you’ll come to learn that even in a noisy environment, you can isolate your mind and take leave of your body…oops!
So, you see, you’ve realy got no excuse, except you are comfortable at the crowded plane of commoners.
This gem is not for everyone.
It is for those who seek to lead their peers and excel in a crowded world of mediocrity!
You’re a STAR. You deserve to shine!!!
