Chairman, Kano State branch of Nigeria Chamber of Indigenous Contractors, Alhaji Auduwa Maitangaran says the chamber has all documents to follow up its call on the Federal Government to probe former Governor of the state Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso over alleged N200bn debts.
Maitangaran alleged during a press conference at the Kano State secretariat of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) that some contracts were awarded verbally to indigenous contractors and different contractors were paid for unexecuted projects.
“It is clear the former governor had virtually crippled indigenous contractors in the state before he left for the Senate. We have genuine records to file a case against Senator Kwankwaso and also we have the names of contractors that were paid for unexecuted projects. Therefore, we will not relent in ensuring that we legally recover what is ours,” Maitangaran said.
