Laolu Akande, Vice President Osinbajo’s spokesperson has denied denying employment in Central Bank, Federal Inland Revenue and others without due process by the federal government. The media had quoted him as denying the report. Laolu Akande wrote this in response to a post on Facebook by Ajagzy Akurin Ogun, also know as Adebayo Ajagunna, expressing his disappointment at the presidency’s denied.
“Countrymen and friends the headline that I denied CBN recruitment is fabricated. Please read the whole story. The Cable did a correction of the report. Vanguard pulled it down afterwords. See also Daily Trust of yesterday and Punch of today. We said we are working to improve the process and make it more transparent. How can I say that and also be said to have denied? It does not make sense. To be sure this govt exists because and for the people, and would remain accountable all the time. Many thanks.”
A lot of Nigerians have been outraged over this denial but Laolu Akande has come out to say he was misquoted.
