The Bauchi State selected N-Power applicants have today started receiving credit alert of December 2016 stipends.
It may recalled that the State Government had, in the interim report of verification exercise it conducted, stated that the names of 3,697 verified applicants were transmitted to Ministry of Budget and National Planning and allowances would be paid before the year runs out.
The development will consequently inject a total of N110.9million (@30,000 x3,697 applicants) into the Bauchi State economy this month and increase aggregate demand.
Meanwhile, the report of the supplementary verification exercise which ended this week indicate that 4,595 applicants (inclusive of 3,697 of first round) has been verified, 565 disqualified due to lack of required certificates or age factors and 28 were absent. The 867 applicants cleared during the subsequent verification exercise are expected to receive stipends in January 2017
The office of the State Focal Person and SA to His Excellency on NGOs, Mansur Manu Soro, wish to call on the verified applicants with genuine complaints to report same for further action. Furthermore, beneficiaries are advised to carry out their assignments in various places of deployment with diligence, the State Government will not hesitate to use its powers to suspend payment of any candidate who is found wanting.
The Governor Mohammed Abubakar led administration will continue to work with the federal government to reduce poverty and improve the living standard of Bauchi State people.
