Most Nigerians want Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to replace President Muhammadu Buhari. In a poll conducted by NEWISSUES magazine on social media, Facebook, WhatsApp groups and random interviews of Nigerians across the country, majority of Nigerians who were asked who they prefer between Buhari and Osinbajo outrightly say they prefer Vice President Osinbajo to be in charge. 7 out of 10 people who responded to the NEWISSUES poll say they would prefer Osinbajo to be in charge.
President Muhammadu Buhari left the Nigeria 40 days ago to London on a 10 days vacation but wrote to the senate to extend his vacation indefinitely due to his deteriorating health. No one can tell you exactly is wrong with the president as everything around him has been shrouded in secrecy. Before he left the president handed over power to his vice and since then couple of things have changed, especially the skyrocketing dollar rate to the Naira and many Nigerians are giving the credit to the Vice President who is now the Acting President.
No one knows how long President Muhammadu Buhari will be staying away in London where he is going treatment rumour to be some form of cancer.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s popularity keep rising by the day and a lot of Nigerians don’t seem to missing their President in London.
However people from Buhari’s stronghold in the north, mostly Muslims, are solidly behind the president. 6 out of 10 support the president.
