The Kebbi State Progressive Youth Assembly has expressed their unwavering support for the second term of Governor Nasir Idris and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. They said this in a press release made available to NEWISSUES magazine on 21st October 2025.
The organisation said their support is based on the efforts of President Tinubu to stabilise the economy after the challenges left by the previous administration.
On the part of the governor of Kebbi State, the group reiterated that the numerous projects the governor embarked on since coming in to lead the state are worth noting, notably his effort to stamp out insecurity
They thank Senator Aliero for endorsing the second term project of Governor Nasir Idris and his support for the support groups anchoring the second term drive for the governor.
In the press release, they wrote that, “The Kebbi State Progressive Youth Assembly wishes to congratulate and express its unwavering support and confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), as well as in the activities of the Tinubu-Kaura Gwandu (TKG) movement for continuity so far the first and most active support group championing the realization of a second term for Mr President and Governor Nasir Idris across Northern Nigeria.
“The recent show of solidarity by notable political figures likes of Distinguished Senator Muhammad Adamu Mainasara Aliero, (Garkuwan Gwandu) for his elder statesmanship and guidance to all similarly the support by Alhaji Umar Idris Buro (Sarkin Dawakin Gwandu) Alhaji Abba Aliero, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Dutsinmari, the State Chapters of Support Groups such as the Remi Tinubu Support Organization, The Kaura Solidarity for Governor K4G, the State Amateur Soccer Association, Kebbi State Marketers Association, the State APC Elders Committee and numerous All Progressives Congress (APC) support organizations toward the TKG is a clear testament to the wide acceptance of its convener/founder and the leadership among the good people of Kebbi State. We are confident that this movement will complement the ongoing efforts of our great party toward victory in 2027 and beyond.
“We call on all patriotic sons and daughters of Kebbi State to unite behind Governor Nasir Idris’ efforts and to refrain from politicizing the security challenges in parts of the state—challenges that are already being decisively addressed. Those who choose to undermine the state’s reputation in the name of opposing the government will gain nothing but ridicule. Let us come together to support peace, security, and the progress of Kebbi State.
“Furthermore, we caution those who travel to Abuja to use their current positions to tarnish the image of Governor Nasir Idris and Kebbi State. You have had your time; allow His Excellency, Governor Nasir Idris, to continue the good work he is doing for the progress and development of our dear state. Be assured that the people of Kebbi are watching closely, and such divisive actions will be firmly rejected. The era of distracting leadership for selfish interests is over.
“It is evident that His Excellency, Governor Nasir Idris, has achieved in just two years what others could not accomplish in eight. We therefore urge detractors to set aside their envy and focus on their own responsibilities rather than attempting to undermine the progress of Kebbi State.
“We commend Governor Nasir Idris for his outstanding achievements in infrastructure, his patience, his steadfast commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and his continuous dedication to the welfare of Kebbi citizens.

The Kebbi State Progressive Youth Assembly also used the opportunity to thank the people of the state for patience as he assured them that Governor Nasir and President Tinubu would tackle insecurity as those who plan to disorganise Nigeria cannot succeed.
