The Katsina State government has again close down schools for Ramadan. Sources from Katsina informed NEWISSUES Magazine the that primary and secondary schools are closed for five weeks.

Katsina is a state plagued by insecurity where terror bandits have incessantly kidnapped and attacked villages killing hundreds monthly, displacing villages, yet schools have been in session.

Critics say this politics of Shariah in a state that is backwards as Katsina is one factor that encourages all sort of Islamist group to come over to Nigeria to fight jihad.

The Katsina State government did the same last year.
